And the To Do List gets smaller… Shoegnome on ArchDaily
When I quit my day job in February, I started living off To-Do lists. Some items were minor: go to Target, do the laundry, e-mail the neighbors. Most where things related to my daily work life: write two blog posts, updated the LinkedIn profile, record more videos. And some where a little more grand: chase work with my blood brother* David, write a book, get Shoegnome mentioned on ArchDaily…
Well cross that last one off the list. My first article went up on the ArchDaily software section this past week. I expect this won’t be a solo event. Getting Shoegnome or future collaborations with Grayform Architecture mentioned on the main feed will take a little longer. But I’m working on that too.
I’ve also got Articles Here:
Look to your right (unless you’re on a mobile device), you’ll notice a new sidebar item with links to other places where I have articles. Keep an eye on that. It’s going to keep getting longer. Unfortunately the few articles I wrote for ArchiMAGÂ over the past year aren’t available online. But I plan on fixing that one way or another this Fall.
Have you seen BIM Engine recently?
Did you know I’m now also a regular contributor to BIM Engine by ArchiCAD, Graphisoft North America’s official blog? I’m writing one or two posts a week there now as well. So check that link frequently. You can also click on any of the social icons in the sidebar and follow me on LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, Google+, or Pinterest… then you’ll be update on all my adventures on and off the blog.
*a college classmate once referred to David and I as blood brothers. I think he meant it in a derogatory fashion. But it stuck and all these years later it’s still true. And way better than the term BFF. Vomit.

Nice work.
When’s the book?
😉

Erik, Thanks! I was originall hoping for 2012, but realistically I need to get my act together for 2013; I’ll have more than enough content by then. The problem will be finding the time to organize and edit. But maybe in 2013 I’ll also be sleeping for real again, and not just all these consecutive night-time naps I’ve been doing. Which I’m tired of.
