A Burglar, a Glitchy Graphics Card, and a Happy Little Cloud
I’ve now written three articles for the AIA CRAN Chronicle. The first two articles gave me a chance to talk about some different things than I usually do. Or than I usually did. Both those topics have now migrated into my regular writing as I evolve the blog from just ArchiCAD and BIM to all the various aspects of being an Architect in the 21st century.
My most recent article for the AIA CRAN Chronicle, A Burglar, a Glitchy Graphics Card, and a Happy Little Cloud pulls together and expands on a plethora of ruminations I’ve had on data safety and backups over the past three years of blogging. I discuss data safety across both Time and Space. It pretty much sums up everything I have to say about data safety and backups. For now at least. By the way, did you know Shoegnome is now over three years old? I was too busy with my move and settling in to Newton, MA to write the Happy Birthday Post I meant to write back in July. Well I’ll still get to that. But it might be October before I do (which is okay because October will be three years of tracking traffic via Google Analytics).
Enjoy my latest post for the AIA CRAN Chronicle, then read the other two:

If you lose data, it’s your fault. No one else’s. YOU ARE TO BLAME. Follow Shoegnome on Facebook, Twitter, and RSS feed to be yelled at some more for not having a good backup and data safety plan.
