Bonus Information:
- If you are on SSA and use the USA version, you should have received an e-mail containing a link to download ARCHICAD 19 USA.
- If you are on SSA and use the INT version, you probably also received an e-mail containing a link to download ARCHICAD 19 INT.
- As of June 26th, 2015, ARCHICAD 19 is also available from www.myarchicad.com for a growing number of localizations.
- Read my blog post about why you’ll want to start using ARCHICAD 19 as soon as possible. Or just as importantly, why you’ll instantly dislike working in older versions of ARCHICAD.
- A Codemeter (silver) USB key or Soft License is required to run ArchiCAD 19. Green WIBU keys do not support ArchiCAD 19. Neither will 21-pin keys. But hopefully those are all gone by now. Contact support@graphisoft.com for swapping instructions.
- I switched over to a Soft License a few months ago. Soft License is fancy for a software license that either lives on the cloud or on your computer. I love it. It’s been flawless and wonderful to not have a dongle plugged into my laptop. I can’t stress how great it is to be able to open up my laptop anywhere and run ARCHICAD without having to remember the USB key, or worrying about someone bumping into my machine and snapping the key off. Talk to your local rep. If you don’t need to constantly switch your license between machines (which is doable but potentially more annoying than with a USB key), ditch your key ASAP.
- You might recall my thoughts from ARCHICAD 18 regarding how to download your localization, and how to order a hard copy. You won’t be getting nor do you need a hard copy of ARCHICAD 19. It’s all digital now. Okay, maybe if you work at Bond Bryan Architects, you’ll want a hard copy.

Hi Jared, since Windows 10 is to be released soon too, was wondering if Archicad 19 is going to work on Windows 10? the official system requirements don’t say so….do you know anything about this?
Jared Banks
That’s a great question. I haven’t heard anything specific, but I’m absolutely certain ARCHICAD 19 will work on Windows 10. The only question is whether it will be ready on Day 1 or not. My hunch is that soon after the release of Windows 10, we’ll see a Hotfix for ARCHICAD 17, 18, and 19 addressing compatibility issues for those versions. So my advice is assume ARCHICAD 17 through 19 will be work, but wait until the official announcement/Hotfix before upgrading to Windows 10.
