Shoegnome Open Template v23.2 plus coffee tumblers

Two weeks ago I completed a pricing set using my ARCHICAD 23 template. You might have seen the images on Instagram: here and here. Between the schematic design and pricing set for that first project and schematic design on a second project (which I knocked out today), I found a number of errors and omissions in my template. At the end of this blog post is the list of those changes.

In addition to updating the template this month, I also got my first delivery of Shoegnome Architects swag: 8 oz branded tumblers. They are insanity beautiful and perfect, if you like small amounts of coffee. The coffee cups are intended as thank you gifts for my clients. But then an idea came to me…

If you support my template with a contribution of $100 or more and send me an email with your address, I’ll ship you an 8 oz tumbler as a thank you.

  • I’ll continue this offer while supplies last (I think that’s about 20 tumblers).
  • If you’ve already supported the template in 2020, I’ll count that towards the $100 total if you decide you want one of the tumblers.
  • If this goes well and I run out of 8 oz tumblers, I’ll do another order from Miir for a different size cup and run a new thank you promotion.

    1. Removed Library Part Maker Data

A little explanation about that last item. If you have been using my ARCHICAD 23 template and haven’t downloaded Library Part Maker, you’ve been getting a dialog box pop up that looks like the image below. You could either delete the data or keep it, ignoring the warning. Either route would have been fine. But it annoys me that you would have to deal with that issue. So I unloaded the add-on on my installation of ARCHICAD 23 and removed the data from the template file (to unload or load add-ons go to the Add-on Manager under the Options menu). Now there is no more warning. By the way, if you don’t know about the Library Part Maker, check out the link above. It’s a nice tool for making intelligent Objects without the need to learn GDL. Though you should probably finally learn GDL, like me.

Any other way to get rid of that missing addons warning without getting a new template? We have the same problem with a template that once went through an Archicad with Cadimage tools, so when we use it in computers without that extension that message keeps gettins shown everytime we load the program 🙁 I though we would be able to get rid of it with the addon manager, but nothing missing shows there.

Thanks. I´ve been tinkering around but somehow missed to uncheck the box and resave the template. That did the trick 🙂
