Join us for the second (and final) user group meeting of the summer here in Boston, Massachusetts. At the last meeting I was just some guy who raised his hand and said hi. At this meeting I’ll do all the presenting. I’ll share a few projects I’ve done and talk about some of my favorite techniques, tips, and tricks. Once we’re all settled in, I’ll fire up ArchiCAD and start sharing my work; you won’t see any Powerpoint slides. My hope and expectation is that my projects will act as a catalyst for some great conversations about ArchiCAD. At least that’s what I’m used to from all our meetings in Minnesota. Don’t disappoint me Boston!
I’m really excited that we were able to get this meeting organized in time. I’m only in Boston for about 2 1/2 more weeks. By the time of this user group, I’ll be counting my time in Boston in days, maybe even hours. I do that sort of thing. There was one job I had where I knew when I was down to like 100 hours left of work. Another where I had a huge countdown of days until the end of the summer… It’ll bittersweet when my summer in Boston comes to an end. It’s been a great experience. And it’s been so wonderful to catch up with old friends, meet new ones, and also finally hang out in person with so many wonderful people that I only knew digitally.
Come August 19th, it’s back to Connecticut for a week with my parents before the long drive home to Minnesota. And then it’s time to start scheduling a user group meeting in Minnesota before the leaves fall and the snow arrives.
Sign up, join us, and bring your questions. And remember, the rest of you New England users… Boston isn’t that far away.
There’s MORE!
Just because the official user group ends at 7:30 PM doesn’t mean the night is over. Stick around afterwards and join other ArchiCAD users as we head to a local bar to continue the conversations.
Got some Good Excuses for why you can’t attend?
Trick question. I’m sure you only have weak or lame excuses. Here’s a post I wrote for the BIM Engine Blog explaining why you need to start attending and demanding more user groups.
