There are some other very interesting things going on in the ArchiCAD blogosphere.
Graphisoft has a growing list of blogs devoted to ArchiCAD here. Don’t want to sift through all that? Here’s three to look at first:
http://www.thebimr.com/ This blog focuses on the experiences of someone in Amsterdam who is migrating his firm from AutoCAD to ArchiCAD. This should be an interesting blog to watch in the coming months.
http://www.archicadmonkey.com/ Apollo has been putting together an ArchiCAD video tutorial podcast complete with an iPhone app. Someday I’ll have an iPhone to watch it on. In the meantime, they can all be viewed from his website or on youtube.
BUT… if you only have time for one blog besides Shoegnome, Onland.info is the granddaddy of ArchiCAD blogs. I’ve modeled my blogging goals on what James Murray has accomplished with his site over the years. He might not post that often, but there’s a huge backlog to sift through. And everything he writes is great. As proof this post pretty much writes the book on composite wall priorities. I’ve sent a lot of people to read this post. And this post is just pure genius. I used the trick described within 3 or 4 times this week.
