Mid-Century Orcas Dream Home

Sometimes friends become clients. Other times clients become friends. And on rare occasions a random conversation with a stranger while your kids are in a karate class turns into a life long friendship and the opportunity to remodel one of the coolest mid-century modern houses I’ve ever set foot in. Had that conversation led to just a project or a friendship, I’d consider myself lucky. But to find one of my favorite people and favorite remodels? I don’t know what describes that other than eternal gratitude. During two phases that spanned almost six years, we first remodeled the basement into a guest suite and then took to the rest of the house down to the studs. In phase two we added a 132 sq ft laundry/mudroom that connected the house to the previously detached garage.
